Morgan McGhee is a registered dietitian nutritionist currently working as a Food Operations Specialist for Fairfax County Public Schools. In this position, she co-supervises schools in the Herndon area as well as oversees the after-school snack program, summer feeding and nutrition education for the 10th largest school district in the country.
Previously Morgan worked in a school district in California as the Project Coordinator for the Nutrition Education and Obesity Prevention Branch grant funded under the United States Department of Agriculture. In this position, she was responsible for all coordinating policy, systems and environmental change in the school district through healthy eating and active living interventions. Morgan has a Bachelor's in Biology from Oakwood University in Huntsville, AL then went on to pursue a Master’s of Public Health in Nutrition from Loma Linda University in California.
Throughout her professional career, McGhee has worked on numerous nutrition-focused projects in the states of California, Texas and now Virginia. Her experience and passion for educating children and their parents on the benefits of a healthy lifestyle through diet and exercise make her a great asset to the Burke Pediatrics team.
